Compounded Semaglutide
What is compounded semaglutide?
Compounded semaglutide (compounded GLP-1) is a custom formulation prescribed by MdDirect which contains active ingredient semaglutide, found in other, FDA-approved medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus.
It’s designed to work as a GLP-1 receptor agonist mimicking the hormones which regulate appetite and digestion. Compounded semaglutide is modified to last longer in the body, allowing for less frequent doses and higher effectiveness in appetite and weight control.
How does Compounded Semaglutide work?
Compounded Semaglutide Injections help reduce appetite and increase feelings of fullness which can encourage weight loss. It works by mimicking the GLP-1 hormone and can aid in the following:
Appetite Suppression: Semaglutide influences the brain’s hunger and satiety centers, so you feel less hungry and more satisfied after eating.
Slows Digestion: The medication can slow down the rate at which your stomach empties, helping you feel fuller for longer and helping your food intake to be more energizing.
Insulin Sensitivity: Semaglutide can enhance insulin sensitivity, making it easier for your body to utilize glucose effectively.
Benefits of Injections?
Convenience: Injections offer the advantage of once-weekly dosing, making them a convenient option for those who prefer a simple, low-maintenance routine. They eliminate the need for daily administration and ensure a consistent, precise dosage, which may simplify your weight-loss journey.

Questions we hear every day
How does MdDirect weight loss service work?
As already mentioned, we follow a three step process where our patients first fill out an online questionnaire, then get connected to our medical doctor who further accesses their state and prescribes adequate weight loss therapy, considering the patient’s current condition and end goals.
We are also responsible for following the patient’s progress, pivoting the therapy and making sure the most important health and weight loss goals are met.
What if I Want to Cancel My Subscription?
Our program operates on a subscription-based model, allowing you to choose the plan that best suits you. If you select a 3-month plan, you pay upfront and receive a 5% discount on the total price, 10% for a 6-month plan, and 15% for an annual plan.
If you wish to cancel after your chosen plan ends, you can do so without any fees. However, to achieve your goals, it’s essential to follow the plan prescribed by your doctor and paid for in advance. If you decide to cancel before the plan expires, the payment will not be refunded.
Compounded Semaglutide VS Brand Name Drugs
MdDirect does not sell brand name medication such as Ozempic, Wegovy or Rybelus; but, as previously mentioned, we offer compounded medication which contains active ingredients proved to be effective and found in branded drugs. The only difference being, compounded semaglutide is not FDA-approved and did not undergo pre-market review.
Is this Fake Medication?
Compounded semaglutide is most certainly not fake medication. It comes from an accredited compounding pharmacy and contains active ingredients (in this case semaglutide), proved in numerous clinical studies as an effective way of managing weight and appetite.
How much Weight can Compounded Semaglutide Help me Lose?
Everyone’s different so the actual weight loss will vary, but on average our patients lose 5% to 10% of their initial body weight over the course of our 12-week program.
How do I Apply the Medication?
Fortunately (or unfortunately), you will apply the medication yourself via a subcutaneous injection. Our medical provider will explain the exact process during your appointment, so there is no need to worry.
